Now whenever I talk to loved ones who are afar
we long for the moments lost.

There are too many words
and the conversation somehow happens.

We talk about memories which we created
we talk about cities where we wandered
the books which we exchanged and
the stars which we counted and also
about those poems which never happened.

We long because that’s the best we can do
and we make plan too for the days to come.

We hope for some different colours
which will brighten the sky
and this longing gives hope
to our tired soul that everything
will be fine soon.

We poets long, dream and write
because that’s the best we can do
with the colours inside.
